1. Scope & Overview
AJETAS (Academic Journal of Engineering, Technology & Applied Sciences) is committed to protecting the privacy of authors, reviewers, editorial board members, and readers. This policy defines how personally identifiable information (PII) is collected, processed, retained, and safeguarded.
2. Information Collected
- Author Data: Full names, institutional affiliations, ORCID identifiers, email addresses, and paper submission files.
- Reviewer Data: Expertise domains, peer review comments, and rating scores (kept strictly confidential in double-blind reviews).
- Financial Data: Transaction logs for Article Processing Charges (APC). AJETAS does not store credit card numbers directly; payments are secured via Razorpay/Stripe PCI-DSS gateways.
3. Data Usage & Third-Party Indexing Disclosures
Metadata associated with accepted papers (title, abstract, author names, affiliations, ORCIDs, and DOIs) is deposited into open scholarly databases including Crossref, Google Scholar, OpenAlex, and ROAD. Private manuscript drafts and unpublished submissions are strictly inaccessible to third parties.
4. Author Rights & Data Correction
Authors may request updates or deletion of non-published personal profiles by contacting privacy@ajetas.org. Once a manuscript is published under an open-access CC BY 4.0 license, article bibliographic metadata remains permanently archived to preserve scientific integrity.
